After two years in the making, we've done it, we've launched. And what a great start we've had. Born out of a move from the bustling town of Weybridge, Surrey, to the quiet calm of Portscatho, Cornwall just before the COVID lockdowns (and during a second pregnancy). Becoming a mother of two completely shifted my focus from the role I had been in for six years for an award-winning London Hairstylist and I needed to rethink what the future looked like for us.
I'd always held elaborately styled parties for my firstborn utilising my experience in hospitality roles and love of all things theatre. So why not make it into a business? With many online business course hours, hundreds of sheets of card, a lot of glue for decoration making, a huge deep breath and a step into the unknown... here we are.
My love for paper crafts began after a Mother/Daughter day trip in my youth which saw us return with two rubber stamps and a multicoloured ink pad (all of which I still have). From then we would make celebration cards for friends and family. Fast forward to recent years when a digital cutting machine was bought as a present to be able to cut materials at a much faster speed. Enabling me to assemble creations more efficiently.
So to receive the stamp with my own branding was very special and quite an emotional full-circle moment.
Now to get on with making and planning for client bookings, it's all rather exciting.
